Common Types of Diabetes and Symptoms

There are three types of Diabetes Mellitus Type 1, Type 2, and Gestational Diabetes. Insulin dependent Type 1 diabetes or juvenile diabetes is usually diagnosed in children and young adults, and more severe because the insulin secreting cells in the pancreas may have been destroyed from virus infection. Insufficient insulin production does not allow the glucose to enter and fuel them. Insulin is the hormone needed to convert sugar (glucose), starches and other food into energy needed for daily life. The lack of insulin results in higher levels of glucose. Some drugs can impair insulin secretion and some toxins damage pancreatic beta cells.

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus results from insulin resistance (when the body fails to properly use insulin), combined with relative insulin deficiency. Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus is the most common form of diabetes. In type 2 diabetes, either the body does not produce enough insulin or the cells ignore the insulin. The insulin is necessary for the body to be able to convert glucose into energy. The body breaks down all of the sugars and starches into glucose from foods, which is the basic fuel for the cells in the body. Insulin takes the sugar from the blood into the cells. When glucose builds up in the blood instead of going into cells, the cells will not produce the energy needed. Type 2 is non-insulin dependent that can be controlled by dietary and weight reduction.

Some medical symptoms of diabetes mellitus are abnormal thirst, bedwetting, blurred vision, boils, drowsiness, fatigue, frequent urination, increased appetite, irritability, itching, lowered immune system, nausea, numbness, skin infections, slow healing, tingling in the feet and hands, unusual hunger and weight loss.

Gestational diabetes affects pregnant women who have high blood sugar (glucose) levels during pregnancy. Gestational diabetes starts when your body is not able to make and use all the insulin it needs for pregnancy. Without enough insulin, glucose cannot leave the blood and be changed to energy. The medical experts do not know what causes gestational diabetes. When the glucose builds up in the blood to high levels it is called hyperglycemia.

Diabetes insipidus results from pituitary gland failure to secrete or deficiencies of an anti-diuretic hormone (ADH), or by an insensitivity of the kidneys to that hormone. Diabetes insipidus is characterized by the excretion of large amounts of severely diluted urine, which cannot be reduced when fluid intake is reduced. It denotes the inability of the kidney to concentrate urine.

Excessive urination and extreme thirst for cold water are typical for diabetes insipidus. The symptoms of diabetes insipidus are quite similar to diabetes mellitus, with the distinction that the urine is not sweet as it does not contain glucose and there is no hyperglycemia. Signs of dehydration may also appear in some individuals since the body cannot conserve much of the water.

In children, diabetes insipidus can interfere with appetite, eating, weight gain, and growth with symptoms of fever, vomiting, or diarrhea. Adults with untreated diabetes insipidus may remain healthy as long as enough water is taken to offset the urinary losses.

Problems associated with diabetes are heart problems, circulatory, blindness, gangrene, kidney, arterial degeneration, and loss of nerve function. It can also lead into urinary tract infection, skin or vaginal yeast infections.

Obesity may be one cause of diabetes, others include certain drugs like corticosteroids and diuretics, infection, illnesses like pancreatitis and thyrotoxicosis, or pregnancy.

Overweight people are at higher risk in developing diabetes mellitus. Diabetes mellitus types 1 or 2 are usually associated with the individuals diet of high refined and processed foods, and foods low in fiber and complex carbohydrates.

Natural Alternative Diabetes Treatment

Oxygen, in combination with minerals like magnesium and potassium, and simple glucose sugars, are combined to make energy packets that are stored in the cells called to Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) the energy source for all cells. ATP is created from the chemical reactions between glucose and oxygen, which is required for all the energy requiring reactions of cellular metabolism. Glucose or sugars are the fuel for the cells and the ATP is the energy. Foods that contain high amounts of oxygen are the complex carbohydrates like fresh raw fruits and vegetables, whole grains, seeds and nuts.

The body needs nine amino acids to produce the anti-diuretic hormone (ADH), Tyrosine, Phenylalanine, Glutamine, Asparagine, Cysteine, Proline, Arginine, and Glycine with the chemical formula of C46 H65 N15 O12 S2. This natural cycle can not be completed without the amino acids and oxygen molecules.

Studies show that ozone therapy increases oxygen unloading of hemoglobin in the blood of diabetics, improves the peripheral oxygen supply and circulatory disorders.

Anyone when taking supplements for the treatment of diabetes mellitus, the first step should be cleaning the colon and smaller intestine. Colon cleansing will help the digestive process and the absorption of the nutrients taken. This is beneficial to the healing process.

Chromium picolinate is essential for diabetes mellitus. Improves efficiency of insulin and lowers blood sugar level.

L-carnitine will mobilize the excess fat for easier elimination.

L-glutamine helps in reducing the craving for sugar.

Spirulina herb helps stabilize blood sugar levels.

Diet high in raw fruits and vegetables will help reduce the need for insulin, and helps lower blood fat.

Enzymes and friendly bacteria are needed for proper digestion.

Aloe Vera and bee products are also helpful.

Coenzyme Q10 improves circulation and stabilizes blood sugar.

Avoid all foods with saturated fat and hydrogenated oil.

Avoid any diet product or diet sodas containing Aspartame as an artificial sweetener because it may drive your blood sugar levels out of control. Aspartame passes the blood brain barrier and it then deteriorates the neurons of the brain causing various levels of brain damage, seizures, depression, memory loss, manic depression, panic attacks, uncontrollable anger and rage.
